Luxury stainless steel pool with a movable floor for everyday life
As part of a project for a private investor, we built an indoor stainless steel swimming pool measuring 6 × 3.5 × 1.35 metres with an overflow on two sides and a skimmer on the other two sides. The entire structure is set in a concrete tub and features the unique AQUAFLOORS movable floor, which can transform the pool into a terrace in moments.
Technical parameters of the pool
The pool has a sanded wall surface and a smooth, tear-free bottom. A straight entry staircase with a minimum width of 80 cm is integrated into the design of the lifting bottom, forming three comfortable steps. The overflow trough is covered and recessed elegantly below floor level.
The equipment includes a powerful IMG Quatro counter-current system with a flow rate of 150 m³/h and four jets, as well as two motors, making even demanding training swims possible. Four Teclumen Midi130 white LED lights (2,795 lm, 5,300 K) provide attractive evening lighting.
Movable floor – maximum flexibility
At the heart of this project lies the hydraulically operated lifting base, which enables the depth to be infinitely adjusted from swimming depth to a depth suitable for paddling. The bottom’s surface can be finished with the same material as the surrounding terrace, such as stone or paving stones, so that when covered, the pool completely disappears from view.
This system increases safety and protects the water from debris while minimising heat loss. This product is particularly popular with architects and ordinary clients alike. A pool with a lifting bottom can be used for swimming, relaxing and socialising.
Crystal-clear water is ensured by the Behncke FEX 3/600 laminate filter with a sand filling, the BADU Eco Touch Pro II circulation pump with a frequency converter, and the Aseko Aqua Home VS automatic chemigation system.
