Modern Wellness at the Vltavan Sports and Relaxation Centre
The Vltavan Sport sports centre is located in Sedlčany, near Prague. Our task was to design a wellness area within this sports and relaxation complex.
Overflowing whirlpool for fitness centre
Right at the entrance to the wellness area, visitors are drawn to a striking feature: an IMAGINOX stainless steel overflow hot tub. This unusual hot tub is octagonal in shape, measuring 2.4 × 5.62 × 1 m, and is equipped with a fixed bench and 86 hydromassage jets to create massage positions for up to 12 people. The overall experience of using the hot tub is enhanced by RGB LED lighting from WIBRE.
The delivery also included an IMAGINOX stainless steel cooling pool, located on the complex’s internal terrace. This custom-designed rectangular pool with one rounded wall has dimensions of 3.7 × 1.75 × 1.35 m.
The wellness area features a steam cabin from the German manufacturer KLAFS. Currently, however, we only offer designer saunas from our own production, such as the TAO model. The steam cabin has a circular floor plan with a diameter of 3.3 metres, and the interior is lined with mosaics. A steam generator is located in the centre of the space. It is equipped with a dispenser for aromatic essences to further enhance the relaxing effect.
Two custom-built sauna cabins were also constructed for the client. The first is a traditional Finnish sauna measuring 4.4 x 4.2 x 2.3 metres, equipped with three-tier Abachi wood benches. The wall cladding is made of hemlock, which is one of the most popular materials chosen by our customers. Heating is provided by a freestanding Majus Profi stove, and the lighting consists of a combination of backrest and under-bench lights.
The second sauna cabin offers Sanaria functionality, allowing visitors to enjoy a Biosuna combined with aromatherapy. Measuring 3.2 × 3.4 × 2.36 m, this cabin was also custom-designed to take into account the window placement in the space. The equipment is similar to that in the Finnish sauna; the difference lies in the heat source: an under-bench Bonatherm stove with a steam generator is used here. Lighting is provided by under-bench and backrest lights in combination with the natural light that comes through the window.
The fitness centre at the Vltavan Sport complex is a modern, three-storey facility designed to accommodate both beginners and advanced athletes. There are a total of 37 exercise machines available, arranged to enable the effective training of all muscle groups.
Strength training enthusiasts will appreciate the separate hardcore zone, which is equipped with free weights, a trap bar and dumbbells weighing up to 50 kg. Conversely, fans of aerobic activities will appreciate the state-of-the-art cardio zone or the combat sports area.
The centre’s overall concept is primarily based on strength training, complemented by aerobic activities. We adopted this approach when designing the wellness section too. Read our article to learn how to properly design products and plan wellness.
As part of this project, we created an extensive wellness zone for the sports and relaxation complex. As a manufacturer of stainless steel products, Imaginox also designed and implemented part of the reception area that welcomes visitors upon entering the complex.
