Pool technology that works for you

A swimming pool is an investment for decades. And like any long-term investment, it depends on one thing that, paradoxically, is the last thing to be addressed when making a choice: the technology that powers it. Filtration, chemicals, heating, automation — these are things you don’t see, but you feel every day. And which determine how much you have to take care of the pool in the first place.
The brain of the whole system: the control unit
Modern pool technology works on the principle of a central control unit that controls everything else: it switches filtration on and off, doses chemicals, remembers measured values, controls lights and attractions, and shows the current water status on a digital display. In practice, this means that the pool runs by itself — without daily checks, without manual measurements, without dosing chemicals by eye.
Well-set technology allows you to go on holiday for several weeks and return to clean, chemically balanced water. This is not an advertisement — it is the standard result of a premium system. But what’s behind that result?
ASEKO: a Czech leader with a global reach
Aseko is a Prague-based company that has been developing systems for automatic pool water control since 1990 and today supplies more than 30 countries around the world. Their products are designed for pool owners who want maximum automation with minimum intervention.
ASEKO ASIN AQUA HOME is an automatic dispenser that analyses water quality in real time and automatically corrects the dosing of chemicals — chlorine, pH and flocculant. The system actively prevents overdosing, operation is maintenance-free and installation is simple.
ASEKO AQUA HOME OXY is an option for those who prefer a chlorine-free solution. Instead of chlorine, it uses active oxygen – gentler on the skin, suitable for indoor and outdoor pools up to a volume of 250 m³.
The iPool Live app is an extension to the hardware, displaying the pool’s status in real time, the history of measured values for the last 30 days, and allowing remote control via the Internet or Wi-Fi Direct. Specific features include intelligent heating control (SMART Heating), automatic filter washing, water level measurement and automatic refilling, overflow/bottom circulation switching or solar heating control. All from your phone, without being physically present at the pool.
OSPA: 95 years of experience and a pioneer in saltwater electrolysis
The German company OSPA was founded in 1929 and is today one of the world leaders in pool water disinfection. Their speciality is the saltwater electrolysis system – a technology with which they have over fifty years of experience and which allows operation without conventional pool chemicals.
OSPA’s philosophy is based on minimising chemicals: filtration is designed to optimise the amount of disinfectants to the absolute minimum necessary for crystal-clear water. Specific technological solutions are also in line with this.
Filtration with a layer of activated carbon chemically binds unwanted compounds and catalytically converts them — the result is water without the typical chemical odour. The silica sand in the filtration traps impurities more effectively than synthetic fillers. The measuring units automatically monitor and regulate water parameters without the owner’s intervention and are fully connectable to a smart home, computer or smartphone.
OSPA heat pumps with the Ospa-Blue Control system operate on the principle of controlled switching, which prevents overheating and unnecessary heat loss. Setting the desired temperature is precise and simple — directly from the display or app.

BEHNCKE: filtration and heating as the basis of the entire system
The German manufacturer BEHNCKE specialises in filtration and heating systems and forms a natural counterbalance to the ASEKO and OSPA control and dosing systems. Their product portfolio covers filters, measuring and dosing units, pH and redox correction, UV lamps and a whole range of heating solutions.
BEHNCKE filters are filled with recyclable glass granulate — a material with better filtration properties than traditional sand and with lower water consumption during backwashing. Most of their systems are equipped as standard with UV lamps that destroy bacteria, viruses and pathogens without chemicals using short-wave ultraviolet radiation.
BEHNCKE heating systems cover the entire spectrum of needs: heat exchangers, solar panels or heat pumps – always designed to match the length of the swimming season and the type of heating of a particular house. The system adapts to you, not the other way around.
Why not skimp on technology
When deciding on a swimming pool, it is tempting to optimise costs on technology – after all, it is not visible anyway. But poorly chosen or inferior technology manifests itself every day: cloudy water, manual dosing of chemicals, frequent service interventions, higher energy consumption. Premium technology, on the other hand, works quietly in the background and the only thing you notice is perfectly clean water — without any worries.
The right combination of control system, filtration and heating guarantees that your pool will function reliably in the first year as well as in the tenth.
Premium pool technology is part of every IMAGINOX project.
